 FASHIONS ON THE FIELD
For all feature race meetings, catagories in the MYER Fashions on the Field competition consist of:
CLASSIC LADIES RACEWEAR The major prize catagory. Strict criteria is to be followed to enter this catagory. 1. Style and originality.
2. Suitability and appropriateness of outfit for the race day. Skirt is to be around knee length - no mini's.
3. Attention to detail of accessories.
4. No denim.
5. Shoulders need to be covered. (ie: from the top of the arm joint) Exposed shoulders and cleavage are not true Classic Ladies Racewear.
6. Ladies Classic Racewear hats or fascinators ARE ESSENTIAL TO MEET THE CRITERIA OF CLASSIC LADIES FASHION.
7. Understanding and interpretation of current fashion trends.
8. Grooming and Deportment. 9. To be eligible to enter you must be over 18 years of age. CLASSIC MENS RACEWEAR 1. Style and originality.
2. Suitability and appropriateness of outfit for the race day.
3. Attention to detail of accessories.
4. No denim.
5. Classic Men’s Racewear jacket and tie essential. You should consider a hat or lapel flower. Matching cufflinks, hankerchief and tie are always beneficial.
6. Understanding and interpretation of current fashion trends.
7. Grooming and Deportment.
8. To be eligible to enter you must be over 18 years of age. CLASSIC COUPLES RACEWEAR 1. Style and originality.
2. Suitability and appropriateness of outfit for the race day.
3. Attention to detail of accessories.
4. No denim.
5. Ladies Classic Racewear hats or fascinators beneficial.
7. Classic Men’s Racewear jacket and tie essential.
8. Understanding and interpretation of current fashion trends.
9. Grooming and Deportment. 10. To be eligible to enter you both must be over 18 years of age. MISS RACEGOER (This catagory will be phased out of the competition in 2009) 1. Style and originality
2. Suitability and appropriateness of outfit for the race day.
3. Attention to detail of accessories.
4. Understanding and interpretation of current fashion trends.
5. Grooming and Deportment. 6. To be eligible to enter you must be over 18 and under 35 years of age. KIDS RACEWEAR (Preview Day only - Sunday 22 February 2009) 1. Style and originality
2. Suitability and appropriateness of outfit for the race day.
3. Attention to detail of accessories.
8. Understanding and interpretation of current fashion trends.
9. Grooming and Deportment. 10. To be eligible to enter you must be under 18 years of age. 
Some non feature race meetings may have Fashions on the Field competitions running at the request of the sponsor.
